One way of learning other than experience is through listening, for
me. That was my conclusion after having our class with Ms. Cookie in
Literature. I think this was the best so far. Ms. Cookie shared to us a
song, We are Young by Fun. Actually I already heard it and I also love
the singer, but, in terms of the song’s meaning, I haven’t swam deeper,
thanks to our teacher. She also showed us the music video of its parody,
We’re not Young. It is the opposite but imparts the same message. And
the last was “Everybody’s Free to Wear Sunscreen”
After hearing and watching everything, I can say that, “It’s not
too late to enjoy.” Since I was a kid I may experience the true joy but
it was just 10 times a year, I think. Yes, you read it right. I was an
introvert person and I’m afraid to talk to people because I lack
confidence. Know why? Because of the fact that I’m very fat and I was
scared, thinking that they would laugh at me.
Well, that was a long time ago, and now everything changed.
Because I thought that if I’ll continue hiding on my mother’s back,
nothing will happen with my life. I have to experience the excitement in
life, with limitations of course. Because I believe that if you’ll not
enjoy what you have today, you will be missing all the happiness in life
in the future. And maybe through this you will know the true you.
“The most important thing is to enjoy your life—to be happy—it’s all that matters.”
-Audrey Hepburn
