New year means new life, but that
doesn't mean that in starting again we have to forget those from the
past. Everyone of us knew that past experiences were lessons that
help us on how to live life at present. And I would like to share my
personal learnings and realizations during the year 2012 and my
resolutions for the year 2013.
Year 2012 was full of surprises and
that includes the ups and downs in life, heartaches and heartbreaks
(Yawch!). I don't blame those with God, in fact, I thank HIM for
giving it. I became strong by standing for what is right, I became
independent and I learned how to forgive. I also learned how to give
importance to those who are still there even though there are times
that I ignored them, to those who never leave me even though I'm
sometimes finding a way to let them go away. With my 2012
experiences, I also came to realized that there are no permanent
things in life, it may stay longer but it don't last. That may
include our relationships with friends and loved-ones, and also with
the things that you had once and now gone.
But I believe that in the absence of
those things will not end our life. As what the saying goes “Never
mind those from your past, there are reasons why they don't make it
to your future.” Just believe that greater things will be coming.
And in this 2013, I had listed my
resolutions and at the top were the words “Be Active.” And I'll
break it down into three. First, to be active with God. I'm proud to
say that I'm a Youth for Christ-Gawad Kalinga member, and I'll make
sure that I'll be giving my all to God by praising Him and offering
my everything. Second, to be active with my family. I'll make sure
that I'll be making time with them even though I just came home from
school and very tired. A simple chat about what happened to me that
day would be enough, as long as the connection would always be there.
And third, to be active in school.I want to make my parents proud,
wherein they can say that “Our hardships are all worth it.”
We should always remember that if
trials came, it doesn't mean you're already lame. It's just a test of
your patience; strength and faith, and not your bitterness and hate.
Be strong, never give up!
